Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website, verth.it, is operated by VERTH, a business established under the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, with its principal address at 75 E 3rd Street, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States. In this policy, “VERTH”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that business.

We decide why and how the personal information described here is used, which makes us the data controller for it. If you have any question about this policy, or you want to exercise any of the rights in section 8, write to admin@verth.it.

2. The short version

This is a small informational website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, carries no advertising or tracking pixels, and loads no fonts, scripts or images from anyone else’s servers. We only hold personal information about you if you choose to email us. Everything below explains that in full.

3. What we collect

Information you send us

If you email us using a link on this site, we receive whatever you put in that message. Usually that means your name, your email address, your company, and whatever you choose to tell us about your business.

Technical information about your visit

Our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs for security and reliability. Those logs can include your IP address, the date and time of your request, which page you asked for, and your browser and device type. We do not use that information to identify you or to build a profile of you, and we do not combine it with anything else.

What we do not collect

  • No cookies. This site sets none, so there is no cookie banner and nothing to consent to.
  • No analytics. We do not run Google Analytics or any equivalent.
  • No advertising or social tracking pixels.
  • No third-party requests. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so your visit is not disclosed to any other company through this site.
  • No sensitive information. We do not ask for anything about your health, beliefs, ethnicity, precise location or similar, and you should not send it to us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising. We never have.

4. Why we use it

  • To reply to you and discuss working together. This is the main reason we hold anything at all.
  • To keep the site secure and working, and to diagnose faults.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

If the European or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, our lawful bases are: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and protecting our systems, and compliance with a legal obligation where one applies. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether your rights override them and concluded they do not. You can object at any time. See section 8.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for twenty-four months from your last contact with us, so that we can pick a conversation up where it left off, and then deleted. Server logs are held by our hosting provider for a short retention window set by that provider, typically no more than thirty days. Where we go on to work together, records connected to that engagement are kept for as long as United States federal and Wyoming law require us to keep business and tax records, and then deleted.

6. Who else sees it

We do not sell or rent personal information. We use a small number of service providers who handle it on our behalf, under contract, and only on our instructions.

  • Website hosting and network security: Cloudflare, Inc., which serves this site and keeps the server logs described above.
  • Email and business productivity: our email provider, which delivers and stores the messages you send us.

We may also disclose personal information where the law requires it, where we are responding to a lawful request from a public authority, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

7. Where your information goes

VERTH operates from the United States, and members of our delivery team and some of our providers are located outside the United States and outside the European Economic Area. Your information will therefore be processed in countries whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

Where personal information is transferred out of the EEA or the United Kingdom, we rely on an adequacy decision where one covers the destination, and otherwise on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or the equivalent UK transfer mechanism, together with any further safeguards a particular transfer needs. Write to us if you would like details of the safeguards that apply to you.

8. Your rights

Wherever you live, and whether or not a particular law requires it of us, we will honour a request to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong or out of date;
  • delete your information, where we have no continuing reason to keep it;
  • restrict how we use it while a concern is being resolved;
  • receive information you gave us in a portable, machine-readable form;
  • object to us using it on the basis of our legitimate interests; and
  • stop sending you anything promotional, which we will always honour immediately.

Email admin@verth.it. We respond within thirty days, and inside one month where the European or UK GDPR applies. There is no charge, and we will not ask you why. We may need to confirm who you are before we release information about you, which protects you as much as us.

9. Complaints

If you think we have handled your personal information badly, please tell us first so that we can put it right. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live, where you work, or where the problem happened.

10. Security and breach notification

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit across this website. No system is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach of security affects your unencrypted personal identifying information, we will notify you as required by the Wyoming Consumer Protection statutes on breach of security of computerized data, Wyo. Stat. Ann. section 40-12-501 and following, and by any other law that applies to you.

11. Children

This site is aimed at businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect it from anyone under 13 in the United States. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Where a change materially affects how we use personal information we already hold, we will tell the people affected directly.

13. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Nothing here takes away a right you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
